Iluka is a picturesque town a short drive from Yamba on the northern banks of the mouth of the Clarence River. The town is not just known for its stunning seascape, but also has a World Heritage-listed rainforest in the Iluka Nature Reserve. The Reserve track can be accessed by either Long St or Crown St in Iluka. Walkers are advised to set aside two hours to complete the trek and to take ample water supplies.

Other activities include whale watching at the bluff, an easy stroll along the water via the Iluka Bay Walk, safe swimming in the protected Iluka Bay, a barbecue on the foreshore of Iluka Bay, hiring a boat on the Clarence River, surfing the famous northern breakwater and fishing off either the rocks, the beach or in the river.
