Trial Bay Gaol campground is within the Arakoon National Park on the edge of the towering walls of the historic Trial Bay Gaol. Beach front camping offers views over Trial Bay just a short walk from the prison walls. Dozens of camping sites are also tucked behind the prison in a bushland setting just a few minutes walk to the beach. A stretch of land overlooking rocky cliffs that plunge into the swirling sea has been set aside for overnight and overflow camping. The campground is popular during peak holiday periods and books out quickly.
