Smoky Cape Lighthouse B&B and Cottages

Lighthouse Rd, Arakoon, New South Wales, Australia

Take in sweeping views of the New South Wales mid-north coastline from the verandah of one of the original lighthouse keepers cottages. The historic little cottages are just below the Smoky Creek Lighthouse, which is the most elevated lighthouse on the east coast. The stark white walls and picket fences of the cottages with their bright blue trimmings paint a vivid picture against their rocky seaside perch and green, wooded hills in the background. The Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage and two Assistant Keepers’ Cottages have been refurbished to offer all the modern conveniences. Take the short stroll to the lighthouse to reach views over the jagged coastline with its secluded little sandy beaches, swirling ocean and small islands. Views also overlook the vast Hat Head National Park. A walk to a secluded beach is just a short distance from the cottages.
